I had my last period on July 2nd. I got off the pill in June. Had intercourse July 1-4th during ovulation. Today is Aug. 20th and no period yet, that is like 48 days and no period. Pregnancy tests have showed negative with the urine test, some were unclear though what they were, do you think a blood test would show positive, has it for you?

Me,me, me, Becuase the blood test are very accurate and can detect pregnancy much earlier.
When I was pregnant with my third child the urine test showed negetive. Whats funny is that I had it dont in a clinic and the nurse insisted I was not pregnant, so on the way back home I passed by a hospital and took a blood teast, 30min later they confirmed what I knew in heart was true. I was pregnant!I was only tecnically 2 weeks but they say 4 because they calculated it from the last period. Check www.babycenter.com

I will find out on Monday or Tuesday. I have taken HPT for 2 weeks now and they have been negative. I went in on Friday for a blood test because I still have not had a period and am feeling pregnant. Also with my last son the preg test took me trying it 3 diffferent times for it to show up. We'll see. Good luck!

I would get a blood test done. With my 2 kids the homes ones always came out neg. then when I went to the doctors and they done blood they found out that I was 2 months with both of my kids. I would NOT wait that long though IF you think you are you should go to your doctor because sometimes your hcg level is not high enough to show the homes ones. GOOD LUCK

I am confused about it too. I had regular periods in the last months, but lately I felt very..pregnant. I am gaining weight, and I could almost swear I feel the baby kicking! I had 4 negative tests, and if I was pregnant it should be in an advanced stage, since I can feel the baby.
I already have a baby, and I almost feel ashamed I am so ignorant about it. My doctor scheduled me in 2 weeks, but until then I feel like I am in a cage.
Did this ever happen to anyone? I mean is it possible to be pregnant and realize it that late?

I would get a blood test to put your mind at ease. Things like stress can change the outcome. Even a faint line on a home test can be a positive result though. But to be sure give a little blood to the vampires and you will know for sure soon enough. (Good Luck)

I had a positive home pregnancy test. The doctor's urine test was negative, though. The blood test was positive.

It is possible to get a false negative on an EPT. That is why they want a blood test. It is more reliable. Some EPT tests are not as sensitive as others. The most sensitive EPT's are those used by hospitals and Dr.'s offices but unfortunately, you cannot buy them over the counter.

The best test is the blood test. Its the most accurate. So if you feel the need, go do the blood test and finally get an answer.

Actually, I had both! Finally, I begged a doctor to get me an ultrasound, since this was my second baby, I just knew I was, and mothers instinct, there she was !! Unfortunatley, I had to wait till my 5th month before a doctor was actually convinced I was pregnant, (mind you, I was going from one to another doctor, and the ultrasound was the convincing factor). I had her at 34 weeks and she was premature of course, but today, I have a wonderful beautiful 14 year old, and of course, her older sister who was 10 days late , 16! Things happen in odd ways and this is one of them.

my sister went through a spell where she kept taking p. tests because she was late and later and later... they all ended up negative and she was not pregnant. Keep waiting for your period and if you can't stand to wait any longer, go get a blood test.
