I've had a cc for many years which I use only when I have to and always repay without incurring interest. They decreased my credit limit because they said my card stays dormant too long and I should use it now and again even for a cheap buy. I cancelled the card there and then. People have made these cc companies such fat cats, they have become bold enough to dictate to us to use the card or else. Is this what the 21st century will be like? Big corporation dictating their terms to us.
Does anyone else have cc horror stories?

If you do not use your credit card, the company that issues it does not make money. Even if you pay the card off monthly, they still make money on the merchant fees. If you are not using your card you are more of a risk because people who use their card frequently are in a mode and a mindset to pay the bill. If you do not use the card, chances are that you have not allocated money into your budget and if you ever used the card in a crisis situation the credit card company might not get their money.

Its all about making money...its a business. They are not trying to be your buddy or friend. They grant you a service...you pay for the service. It is up to you(and you should) use the cards to your best advantage. I do.

I completely agree with you but I have always been smart about this so no, I don't have any horror stories to share.

The interest rates and add-on charges are a horror story in themselves.
