Yes. I'm the only one in my group of friends that still has a turntable hooked up to my stereo system. Every now and then I still pull some vinyl out. I have alot of stuff that you still can't get on CD.I still have over 2,000 LPs and about 4,000 45 RPM Record. I still have some 8 Track Tapes also. Nothing to play them with just for Nostalgia sake.lol

Records had a charm all their own. There have been many a day when I played mine over and over, which is why they now have the imperfections and the clicks, as well as the [*censored*] scratches!
I still have all mine, although phonograph needles seem to be scarce nowadays. This coupled with the fact that not every album I own has yet to make it to CD does leave me somewhat miffed, to put it mildly.
But there are definite advantages to CDs, like their portability when traveling and the fact that you do not have to stop in the middle of something to flip the darn thing over to hear the other side.

CD's suck. Give me vinyl. Without all the digital tampering. With that glorious analog 60 cycle hum. Truer recordings. Longer lasting, and if you do get a skip you can put a nickel on the tone arm and still listen. Can't do that with a skipping CD.

Yup, but I sure do like the way a CD sounds when played in my Bose Wave Radio/CD player!

I agree with frenwen4....the great covers and readable liner notes (reading glasses age, ya know) and freebies inside were always a bonus!

Frankly, no. I have owned a ton of 33s, and they easily became unlistenable or even unplayable. CDs!

You must have just watched a rerun of "Everybody Loves Raymond." His dad said the same thing when they tried to put all his records on cd's. :)

Pretty funny. (Yes, I miss them, too.)
