Genital warts can be treated and cured both on female and male genitals. And yes i would marry a person that had HPV. Remember there are many sexually transmitted diseases much worse than HPV.Condoms are the best protection from venereal warts, as well as many other std's.

Hmmm....
The crazy thing about HPV is that so many people who have it don't know. They are usually painless, symptomless, and sometimes even if you are exposed to the virus your own immune system takes care of it. So the odds of sleeping with someone who has HPV are pretty huge. At least if you KNOW they have it, you are lucky enough to have an honest partner who is concious of their health. I would say, if you are in love with someone enough to consider marrying them, you should love them even if they have some kind of medical issue. It doesn't make them "dirty", in fact you might have it too considering that if you're talking marriage you've probably slept with them by that point and exposed yourself to it.
So the real question is, would you SLEEP with someone who you know has genital warts. And the unanimous answer is....c'mon, I know you've all been through 6th grade health class...NOT WITHOUT PROTECTION!
Be smart, Kiddos.
Oh, and to Bettie Page down there, Genital warts are NOT caused by the herpes virus. HERPES are caused by the Herpes virus. And Syphilis causes retardation, so she might want to have herself checked for that, too.

I have HPV, but it's just the cancer causing kind. When I was diagnosed five years ago, I didn't understand too much about it. I was scared to death for my health and for my future fertility. Also the guilty was awful, because you don't get an STD innocently.
I was living with my now husband at the time. He was more confused then I was, but stood by me. I had the procedure to remove the abnormal cells on my cervix in October, 2001. We got married in November 2001.

HPV [HUMAN PAPLOMA VIRUS] is NOT genital warts. It's the VIRUS that causes CERVICAL CANCER.
Genital warts is caused by the HERPES VIRUS...two different things.

I wouldn't. They are enough to worry about in relationship. No need to add possibility of catching diseases.
