I can only speak for myself, but this is my advice: You have lots of questions and seem very fragile, which means step one is to calm down, and focus. In college, the last thing you need is additional stress. Number one is grades. Always. Having friends won't hurt, but pick them wisely (the ones who like to socialize in group study, for example; dont go to a college because your friends are going there). Next, whatever non-class related activities you try (clubs, work, etc), do NOT pick too many to "impress". Pick just a couple and focus hard on them- try to become a officer of a club, or get promotions at work. Don't join just to be a member- people need to see you are enthusiastic and deticated to your passions (whether they are not...). Good luck, and dont forget: control the nerves!

I would say "relax". You sound like you are already on the right track, and your current work ethic and discipline have got you this far. You can never study too much but don't let that consume your life. When "study time" becomes "no break time" then you really have to sit back and assess what you are doing because it can become obsessive. Taking your tv and radio out of your room? Just turn them off when you study, and turn them on when you want to decompress.
Just relax, you'll be fine. If you don't meet your goals it won't be the end of the world but it's ok to give it your best shot everytime. That can only breed success.
Just relax. ;)

First of all, Slow down and dont stress yourself out to much. Keep the Tv and the radio in your room for stress relief. You cant study 24/7 everyone needs to take a break and veg out. You can start studying finance now if you like. Youll get whereever you want to go in time. Take the stress management workshop the school offers to help you calm your nerves. Good luck!

I didn't have a TV in my room when I was in college and I am really glad about that. There are lots of ways to relax in college that have nothing to do with watching TV. Make friends, hang out, play some video games, etc. And study, of course. I think it will be really important to do well in your classes, especially ones in economics and other quantitative subjects if you want to get into a good business school. For example, take some math classes. Also, join a pre-b-school club that may be around on your campus.

when you go to school you must realize that you have to have a lil fun or it will cause ya to burn out.
First of all I would get plugged into the business department, I am sure they have many clubs you can join to join like BPA Business professionals of America. This should get you connected with people that can give you a hand up when you get ready!
