I want to send a burned CD to a friend who lives in Germany. Will he be able to listen to it? I know that DVDs can be formatted differently, but are CDs the same?

CD's are formatted the same as in America....but DVD's are NOT. If you want to play a German DVD on your American Player, it won't work. You have to have a Player that plays PAL as well as NTSC.....
