You can apply acrlyic to your nails and that might help you stop biting them.

Worries cause that and a lack of something to do will cause it as well. My ex was pretty bad at it too and she would keep her finger nail file with her and would file them to keep from bitting them. It seemed to help her when she could not find a hang nail to bite on. You could try one of them little squeezie balls or a couple of magnets. Anything to put in your hands so they are busy and out of your mouth. You could stick each finger in your nose and not wash them. That way they would be too gross for you to bite on. ..

remember that even when you wash your hands and nails real good, disgusting bacteria is STILL there and you're eating and tasting what you pooped out, thats what stopped me from biting them, or buy special nail polish that you taste(which is bitter and doesnt taste good) that helps you stop biting your nails(and eating french fries with your fingers!)You could probably find one at a Sally Beauty Supply.

if it takes time to establish a habit, then it's gonna take time to stop.

You just have to train yourself not to do it. Habits die hard, but you can do it.
