As long as the tattoo has healed, it's absolutely fine. I have waxed over a tattoo on my leg many times.

I have several tattoos and one in a private area that you wouldn't be able to see if there were hair there. I wax about every 2-3 months and have been for years with no adverse reactions to the tattoos. Just make the tattoo is fully healed before waxing and make sure you wait a few days after waxing to get a tattoo in that area to avoid irritation. There is a lotion called AmLactin or LacHydran you can get to help with any ingrowns that may occur after waxing.

A tattoo will never come off with waxing. It might hurt alot if it's still new because your ripping off a scab but I'm an esthetician and I have waxed over a lot of tattoos, nothing happens.

Make sure the tattoo is completely healed then it will be alright, because you can shave over one after 7 to 10 days .

Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are temporary hair removal methods.
Waxing usually lasts for 3 weeks, but it is painful.
Electrolysis and laser hair removal are "permanent" hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged.

Yes, it won't be affected. Don't do it right after you get it done though, the tattoo must be completely healed.
