that would suck back when Yamaha through down the yz400f and the rumors started the biggest one that i worried about was the one about by 2006 their will be no more production 2strokes. well their still around and riding both 2 and 4 strokes i say i love the 2 more as well but in the world of competition and money 4 strokes win every time but i don't think that their gonna become obsolete just yet but their seeing their days. Honda once know for their 250's back in the 80's and 90's and still for their plush rides haven't done a single thing to their 07 250 this year and their 125 as well i believe the only change was their graphics. so you can see were Honda's going. Suzuki made alot of changes last year and did again this year same with KTM as for the kx i don't know. who knows how long they got left but the gncc guys puffer 2 strokes most of the time so lets see.. but the last year they do come out i will get it

Yes,as there are no longer any 2-stroke street legal bikes over 50cc being manufactured due to the emissions issues. The major constructors can't be bothered to develop and support 2-strokes just for motor sports indefinitely. It may be different for a small outfit like KTM, but they just don't have the money for development like the Japanese big 4 do.

Yes , I think they are going to slowly phase them out over emissions . Yes it does suck . There is nothing like a good 2 stroke when the power band picks in .

well i dont think they will become obsolete. but more phased out. none of the major manufactures really put any money into 2-strokes anymore except for ktm. everyone else is putting money into those stupid 4-strokes. so yeah. 2-STROKES ROCK/

They will eventually go because of total loss lubrication leading to incurable emission problems.
Having said that, when I am Karting at 80mph with my 100cc 2-stoke doing 20,000 rpm it is simply marvelous.
