Not unless it's a satellite feed. A build up of snow or an extremely heavy rainfall can interfere with reception of satellite transmissions.

HD broadcast via cable isn't affected by the weather.

It really has nothing to do with the fact that it's HD. The same troubles apply to regular satellite broadcasts, as well.

If you have satellite, bad weather can definitely interfere with your signal. If you have cable, weather should not make a difference unless there is some problem with the cable leading to your house.

i believe it does because every time it rains my reception goes down or out.my satellite also goes out.
