Depends on who you ask.

I'm an ultrapragmatist, so I believe that the point of life is to either reproduce and raise your children to a state where they can reproduce as well, and continue your lineage; if you do not wish to have your own offspring, then the purpose of life is to make society a decent-enough place so that other peoples' offspring will survive to reproduce on their own and continue the cycle of societal support and improvement.

Others will say that the point of life is to experience all that you can, and in so doing to make your life one that is never boring, and never worth questioning - to live a life to the fullest.

Just simply to know Jesus. He fills the void in each persons life via a response by each person to the death on Calvary then onto repentance then baptism in Jesus Name, then the infilling of the Holy Ghost as mentioned in the book of Acts of the Bible.
The whole beauty is Jesus gives mankind the power to live life with great joy & peace, via the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Dearest Reader,
I remember asking this all my teen and early twenties...it all seemed so futile. When I was 22 and my mother was dying of cancer, I thought I was going to die too. I called upon the Lord Jesus Christ, not just God, and suddenly I was no longer alone. since then I've had time to learn...that the Bible, which I believe to be the TRUTH and the recipe of living, tells us that the purpose of living....IS TO BRING GLORY TO GOD!
Thanx for letting me share that. It seems many people are to busy to really think about that question.
What does it mean? To be thankful to Him for EVERYTHING you have, and realize HE gave you the talents, skills, family, relationships that make life meaningful.
God Bless,
Darcel

The point of life is to graduate from using diapers at an early age to going to that old folk's home as an old fart, while gumming your mashed potatoes to death.

If you evolved from a monkey then obviously you wouldn't have a purpose.

If you were created then your purpose would ostensibly be to serve your creator.
