Being a celebrity can have advantages but most of the time it's no fun. When you are a wealthy celeb you have virtually enough money to do what you want when you want. But because you have money does not guarantee happiness.

Celebs are the loneliest people, ask one. If they say they aren't they are lying to you. The worst thing to do to a celeb is to ignore them, for without you they wouldn't exist!

The money comes in handy only to build their big fortresses to hide from the ever-present media. Or to fly to remote areas in the world where people don't know who you are.

The money is nice but it doesn't take care of everything.

Many celebs are self-absorbed, narcisstic, egomanics who could care less about you, they just want your attention (and your money). Ever seen a celeb sit quietly? No, they insist on hogging the cameras at all times!

Normal is better because you can live your life on your terms and not the media's terms.

I'm not a celebrity but I think it would be better to be a normal person because when you're a celebrity the whole world is practically in all of your business, following you around snapping pictures, gossipping, etc and you have no privacy.

I'm a normal person and i intend to stay that way.
No one will follow me around taking my every picture, on my bad hair days, my bad dress days, or whatever
No one will stalk me (hopefully)
My career will NOT depend on how thin I am or how much I'm willing to put out or how much skin I'm willing to show
I can eat when I want, how much I want, and ther ewill be no pressure on me to lose my post-baby weight or any weight for that matter.
I have a chance of having a normal and stable relationship. Yes, I know that divorces happen often and to everyone, but try having a celebrity relationship. Just reading about them makes me dizzy and thankful for being non-famous.
I know who my real friends are, I don't have to ever second guess whether people are interested or care for me because I'm famous or rich...they'll like me for me, and for nothing else. That's truly one of life's biggest gifts.

Other than that, having alot of money is cool, but there's other careers that offer financial satisfaction...besides, I rather have my privacy than have what they have...

Just my opinion :)

On the surface, it appears as though celebs have it easier or better, but once you peel away the surface, you find that they have lots of challenges that many of us don't have to deal with. Yeah, they have a lot more money, but they have to pay people to protect them, watch their kids, drive them places, etc. Many cannot walk down a street or go out to run a simple errand without getting mobbed by cameras or fans. And unfortunately, some celebrities unintentionally inspire many sick freaks out there. But most of them will probably say that all of that comes with the territory.

The way some celebrities can't walk outside their door without being hounded by the press doesn't seem very appealing. I guess the money would be cool, though.

It's better to be a non-celebrity, because if you're a celebrity, everything you do or say is scrutinized very publicly.

I'm not a celeb either. Even though they make a lot of money, they have no privacy & everything they do from getting coffee to getting married is photographed.

While the money is nice, I enjoy not have paparazzi stalk every step I make.

I am a very private person so I would prefer to be a normal person. I feel that my life should not be for the public to feast about.

I'll say both there's an upside and downside to both first of all if your famous you get lots of fans and you feel appreciated more but the downside is paparazzi all ways following you around and stuff. By being normal you get to live life free and no pests following you around.
