The main one they made was that Native Americans were uncivilized. In fact, the Cherokees had a government system in which men governed the tribe regarding war issues, but women were in charge of issues relating to peace. Also, the Iroquois Nation had a treaty with other Native American tribes, known as the Iroquois League, and this treaty was a model for our own Constitution. The Indians believed that they were caretakers of the land, which was to be shared by all, while the Europeans just wanted to clear it and possess it for themselves.

that they were savage and had no form of civilization. They believed that the natives were insane for their hunting practices and how they would eat so much and in the winter have so little to eat, but more Europeans died from starvation than the natives. They thought that the men were lazy and that the women did most of the work. They assumed they had no form of religion.
