I'm getting really annoyed at these people who try to answer questions like they know what they're talking about, yet have no idea what or how to answer the question. What's the point? Or, is it 2 points? Anyone else feeling the same way?

Ouch! Sounds like you ran into some bad answers!
Actually, it's fun to try and puzzle out some of the questions and find an answer to something you hadn't really thought about before. Like this question. But I agree, if someone comes in sounding like an expert and hasn't a clue what they are talking about it is terribly annoying!

I don't think it's the two points. Some people are just smart alecs, others try to help without knowing the whole answer and still others think they are helping and that they know the answer but don't.

Two points, ego, stupidity combination of last two mentioned or my teacher made me. Remember what they say you get what you Pay for. If your talking about ones that just go Humm or Thaa agree with you completely, but to some extent that's yahoo's fault for not letting voters take points away.

I think Yahoo Answers provides a forum for any arm chair quarterback to get their two bits in. In my case, I just happen to know a lot because I"m truly smart and wanted to share my wisdom with you all. Besides I'm trying to make it to 3rd level.

I agree. What really annoys me is when people answer your question with "I don't know". If you don't know an answer, just bypass the question. That's what I do.

try hard not to let it get under your skin, but I feel the same way. Some people just do it for a stupid joke.

the either give a smart remark
or say something stupid for the points
i wanna cut their fingers off
