Can someone please enlighten me on this. And also, I just figured this out for my own amusement. I wonder if I went to the UK and asked for ice if they thought I was saying @ss due to my southern accent? I get amused easily.

OH yah...bloke. Love that term. Just means, guy. Aussies use it as well.

A bloke is a man, usually someone whose name you don't know or can't remember. Example I went to an interview the other day and the bloke who interviewed me seemed really nice.

i heard it being said as 2 things actually....in aus. i heard a bloke is a man , and in uk. bloke means ciggarette or something like that....im not sure on the ciggearette meaning there but i am definitely sure on it meaning man.
