Radar use microwave. If you are standing too close to a very high power radar emitter, it could "cook" you.

Besides this, anything that may have anything to do with microwaves can be invoked. It can cause interference with other radio emissions, for instance.

Some of the major drawbacks: It doesn't really give a good picture of what it is detecting - one large plane or several closely grouped planes. It is easily detected and therefore can't be used in a stelth manner. It is not a very efficient electrical device.

It can be affected by weather such as temperature inversions

It is often low resolution (cannot tell shape and size easily)

Microwave radiation can be dangerous very close to the antenna

Most often needs a shaped rotating antenna, meaning significant engineering

Militarily can be beaten by angle surfaces and radar absorbing paint

in war time they can be easilly destroyed by anti radiation missile once the radar put on its power the missile will lock on the target and destory it

Another disadvantage is that I can simply fly too low to avoid detection...and if the hull design is just right...I can always avoid detection.
