Everybody is supposed to have their hands on it when the answer comes up...and no, bibles don't make any difference it is caused by minute and subtle subconcious movements in the hands of the players.

everyone needs to have their hands or fingers on the oracle. I would get some chicken bones and make a mock crucifiction with them to ward off the evil spirits also.

last time i played that the window in the bedroom we were playing in slammed shut missing my friends fingers by a few inches. first and last time. don't mess with it

Please don't try it. They're pretty unstable, unreliable, and tricky, especially if you are inexperienced.
Try Tarot cards instead. Much more accurate.
