I run Linux. the really neat thing is that a LiveCDrom of Linux, and there are 309 of them, right now, will boot, and diagnose it.
Then, you can play games, run programs, and browsers, and applications, in up to 4000 windows, on 20 different desktops, all running at the same time!
Virus FREE, cracker proof, which are some of the reasons that Linux run Google.com, Microsoft.com, msn.com, Hotmail.com, the Fortune 1,000 corporations, Burger King, and the Indiana school system (actually, 37 states run it in schools, last count).

You can go to the manufactuer's site in support and downloads and get that... I'd try this first, though.
Unplug your IDE cables from your motherboard. Those are the cables that connect to the back of the CD Rom and Hard drives. Then remove the ram. Then look for the battery on the motherboard. Unplug the computer, and remove this battery to clear CMOS. You can do this by moving the jumper, but it's a lot easier to explain it this way. Wait 30 seconds, and put it back. Put everything back exactly how it was, and reboot it. If that doesn't help, it is likely the Hard Drive causing it, and you will need to restore the PC using the Windows install disk that came with the PC. Good Luck.
