I have a Verizon cell phone, and I have the extended warranty which costs me $6 a month. Today my phone broke, and they won't replace it, because they said they don't make my model anymore. I asked them why have I been paying insurance on it for the last year then, and they couldn't tell me! What should I do? They are charging me for the insurance, willingly taking my money, but they won't honor my insurance!

'Tis a load of crap, to be sure. You need to call Verizon back...they are NOT the carrier of the insurance...trust me here on this. Call them back until you speak to someone who can help you. Not all customer service personnel are complete idiots. If you still get no satisfaction, ask for a supervisor, and if that doesn't work, then you call corporate. THAT always works. I worked for Verizon for two years.

Mention complaining to the Better business Bureau & formally filing a complaint.
Also, inform them you want a full refund of the extended warranty, or they will be hearing from your lawyer.
I'm sure one of these two sould get a response.

You might need to talk to their retention department. It's amazing what telling them you'll leave their service will do towards getting a sizable credit to apply to new equipment. That's especially true if you've had their service over 2 years, because at that point you're account is nothing but pure profit to them.

They took me, my mom and my wife for a ride also. Pay what ever it takes to get out of the contract. I promise you that in the long run they will suffer the same way Pac Bell DSL suffered for ripping us off.

You should call customer service and demand to speak to a supervisor (and keep asking for people higher up if needed) until you get a resolution.
