I'm going into the high school, and I am currently wearing the only bra that I have, a too small training bra that my mom bought me when I was in fifth grade! I had it for four years! The thing doesn't even cover my breasts any more and it's embarrassing when I'm in the changing room for Gym and sports practice. Should I ask my mom to take me bra shopping, and if so, how should I do it?

Walk out in your bra and let your mom see -- say, "Mom, I think it's time for a new bra."

OMG YES!!! Explain to her that the only bra you have is:
a. Too small and does not give the proper coverage and support desired
b. I feel more self-conscious, especially during gym
and
c. That you should definitely have more than one bra and after 4 years of this one, it is time to let it go.

Also, if you don't want to spend loads of money on bras go to TJ MAXX or Marshalls, there bra are very high end (ie. Calvin Klein, Jockey, DKNY, etc) and can always be found for less than $10 and on clearance from $7 to $1.
Before you go, try and go to Victoria's Secret or a store in your area that specializes in under garments and have them measure you for your proper bra size.
Make this a day for you and you mum to bond a little bit.
Good Luck!!

Tell your mom that your chest is feeling uncomfortable (if that's not true, say it anyway, it'll help) and you feel it's time to get a few more bras for comfort and support. If she still doesn't want to go bra shopping, get some cash (and friends, if you want) and go yourself.

yes i think its time for a new bra honey. just tell your mom that you need to go shopping for a bra. tell her straight out. don't worry about it. if you cant seem to ask your mom then you could always just go to the store and get one yourself. don't be embarrassed girl.
good luck!
