It's especially important that the breasts have good support at this time! Breasts become heavy with milk and tissues stretch to accomodate the fullness. When breasts become heavy and there is no added support (a feeling of "bowling ball boobs"), gravity causes irreversable dammage to the tissues. Providing support with a bra/nursing bra gives the breasts a fighting chance at returning to their former glory!

Already been said, but the purpose of a Nursing Bra is to keep milk production at it's best, and to make it easier to whip out and put back the boob at moments notice.
Your wifes breasts will sag after weaning. It has nothing to do with the bra worn during that time.
However, I have heard of women whose boobs got permanently bigger after having a child. I personally think they live where the unicorns do....

I dont feel that the nursong bra helps keep them perky: Wearing a good quality bra with firmsupport is what helps. Nursing bras are more popular since they are easier to feed the baby when out in public but wont neccessarily prevent saging.

A nursing bra is for easy access for nursing. There are special flaps over your breasts that open up so you can nurse easier and still have your breasts supported.

No. A nursing bra has a flap that opens on each side so it's easy for the woman to access herself to feed her baby.

A nursing bra is to allow a nursing mother to feed her baby without removing it.

A nursing bra is designed to not restrict milk production, hence no underwire. And easy access to feeding too of course. If someone is going to breastfeed, they are going to have BAD breast shape when you are done, and they will sag. Babies suck the life out of them!! :) But sorry boys, this is what breasts were created for. :) SORRY!!

I never used one. They fit weird and your breasts change size a lot. By the time you have been breast feeding a couple of months you are back to your regular bra size. Then if you breast feed beyond that they become smaller than your normal bra size. They return to your normal size when you stop.
Also, I felt MORE exposed using them than my normal bra. Just never worked for me. Get one, then you can decide and buy more if needed.
BTW my husband says that my breasts do not look much different than before I breast fed. It did take some time for them to get back to normal though. I breast fed 3 yrs.

if you get a good one! find one that fits really well! wearing any supportive bra will help with sagging. don't get one with underwire because it can cause clogged milk ducts!

The only way to stop sagging is to get a breast augmentation or a lift. Is that ALL guys care about? pretty boobs?
