Yes everyones cycle is different. Most women have a different time that they can get pregnant. Most of them can get pregnant a few days after the start of menstruation when the body begins to release another egg.

I thought ovulation took place half way through the cycle. ie If your cycle is 28 days, then ovulation would take place between day 13 and 15.

Yes, you can. You can also get pregnant when you have your period, because you only get your period from one ovary each month. Good Luck.
