The sabbath day was originally on a Saturday, but after the Resurrection of Christ, someone (I think it was Constantine) changed it to Sunday. This is what I have been told anyway.

in accordance to heritage Constantine tried to regulate Sabbath to Sunday so the Christians can worship with the pagans in honor of solar Worship in 321. Constantine's change became familiar via the Papal Church and considering the Papacy grew in ability, it opposed Sabbath observance in choose of Sunday sacredness and made the day change professional interior the Council of Laodicea in 336. ______________________________________ people supply the reason that they honor Sunday now because the Sabbath instead of Saturday because Christ rose on Sunday. God by no ability stated to attempt this. people also interpret scripture incorrectly, they imagine the apostles kept Sunday because the Sabbath yet they did not.... In Acts it mentions people had gotten mutually one Sunday with Paul to wish and worship. even if, it did not say something about the Sabbath being replaced. they only accumulated mutually because Paul became leaving day after today. In Corinthians the position it stated to position some funds aside on the first day of the week, has not something to do with tithing. in case you study the entire area and in Romans it says why they did this...Paul needed each and every little thing to be accrued already earlier he confirmed up, so he would not ought to anticipate them to do it even as he became there. the sequence went to those in Jerusalem because there turned right into a economic want on the time, all of us recognize they supported a huge type of widows (Acts 6:one million-6) and were interior the midst of famine (Acts 11:27-30). yet another scripture that has been misinterpreted is in Colossians - So enable no one decide you in nutrition or in drink, or on the topic of a pageant or a sparkling moon or sabbaths, that are a shadow of issues to go back, even if the substance is of Christ... yet what they don't realize is that there are 2 sabbaths. One is the weekly Sabbath that God sanctified and made holy AT introduction (Genesis 2:3 And God blessed the seventh day and made it holy) earlier there have been even any Jews, which became only repeated interior the ten commandments. the different are ceremonial annual sabbaths (dinner party of Unleavened Bread, dinner party of Weeks, dinner party of Trumpets, Day of Atonement, dinner party of Tabernacles). The ceremonial regulations were carried out away with even as Christ died, not God's Holy regulations. Saturday, not Sunday is the Sabbath. God by no ability replaced it. He stated shop in concepts the seventh Day Sabbath and shop it holy. we ought to continually obey God, and by no ability stick with after the traditions of adult men.

'sabbath' is a day of rest, often depicted as the 7th day of the week.
When does your week begin? Try the 7th day of that week if you want to go that route. A friend of mine picks a day each week - often two consecutive weeks have different days picked - and honors that day as the sabbath for that week.
Otherwise, it depends on which religion you follow, if any, and which day of the week that religion proclaims as the sabbath.
Just a thought or two.

It depends on the religion. For Catholics it's Sunday, but for Jews I think it's Saturday.
