They did not change, You did. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying this to be a dick. Its like thinking. After using your computer day in and day out for 3 months you think your computer is getting slower, but this maybe true in a very small part. The truth here is that you are getting (thinking) faster. Everyone changes. To think you don't or have not is just naive. Try thinking about it from that point of view.

People, special or not, change because they are real people, real individuals, just like you. The fact that they are special to you doesn't mean that they have to stay the same forever just because you would like them to. Everything on earth is in a constant state of change, and getting too attached to anything without allowing it/him/her to change in its own way is not healthy.

generally, people tend to take good people for granted and sometimes arent very nice to them, knowing that they will always forgive and never leave them, but if you mistreat a person, guarantee that they will change...sometimes for the worst. (actually most of the time)
