Love is the joy of the good, the wonder of the wise, the amazement of the Gods. At the touch of love everyone becomes a poet.
Love is composed of a single soul inhabiting two bodies.
Love is a promise, love is a souvenir, once given never forgotten, never let it disappear.
In the arithmetic of love, one plus one equals everything, and two minus one equals nothing.
Love is that condition in which the happiness of another person is essential to your own.
Each moment of a happy lover's hour is worth an age of dull and common life.
It is true love, not reason, that is stronger than death.
True love waits
True love doesn`t have a happy ending; True love doesn`t have an ending.
Love is when you find someone who is your best friend and you can be yourself around them. Its when words can't come close to how you feel. Its when you know you are suposed to be together. And if you have to wait forever . . . You Will
Love is not written on paper, for paper can be erased. Nor is it etched on stone, for stone can be broken. But it is inscribed on a heart and there it shall remain forever.
Real love hurts, real love makes you totally open and vulnerable. Real love will take you far behind yourself, and therefore real love will devastate you. If love doesn't shatter you, you will not know love.
Love isn't always perfect. It isn't a fairytale or a storybook. And it doesn't always come easy. Love is overcoming obstacles, facing challenges, fighting to be together, holding on & never letting go. It is a short word, easy to spell, difficult to define, & impossible to live without. Love is work, but most of all, Love is realizing that every hour, every minute, & every second was worth it because you did it together.
true love burns for a thousand years...

Love is action driven by emotion. It is not an emotion. The best definition for love that I've ever found is in the bible.
1 Corintians 13:1-8
1If I speak in the tongues[a] of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames,[b] but have not love, I gain nothing.
4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
I'd say that about covers it.

I honestly, do not. I have been through many relationships but I don't think love ever played a part in them. Infatuation did... and I think had the relationship grown, love could have developed. So, aside from paternal love... true love is something I can't really put a finger on credibly.

true love is when you meet that special person. you will tell them everything and i mean everything no secrets. When you find that true love you will lighten up as soon as they walk into a room. You will miss them when their not around. You will still miss them when your with them because you know you will have to go your seperate ways before long. true love is somebody that makes you want to work harder to reach your goals. true love will never let you down and they always be there when you are down.

honestly i think true love is being able to be true to yourself and your partner at the same time and knowing that you could tell them anything and they would stay by your side and help you get threw anything................. if you can find someone who loves you for the person you are inside and not just by the way you look you have found someone who truely cares about you and that is an awesome thing!
I wish you the best of luck and i hope that you find what you are looking for

“I had found a kind of serenity, a new maturity... I didn't feel better or stronger than anyone else but it seemed no longer important whether everyone loved me or not--more important now was for me to love them. Feeling that way turns your whole life around; living becomes the act of giving.”
Beverly Sills quote

I believe I do, though it took me many years and many failed relationships to learn how to recognize it. My current husband took me on with five children, and in our first year together, one of my girls had a baby, and two of them announced their pregnancies. I've since become disabled. One of my sons has been in and out of legal trouble. This man has stood by me through thick and thin and has continued to love me and care for me. I love him with all my heart and soul, but it's not the obssessive kind of love that got me into trouble over and over before in my life. It's real, and it's good and that's all that matters!!

When people love eachother through good and bad times...when they look past eachothers' faults (like if one of them can be stubborn at times) and accept eachother whether they are really attractive or not so attractive. Being understanding, caring, honest, faithful.
