How the heck do I initiate a mission?!!! There's like these lists of missions on the net that I see, and I can't start any of them...all that I can do now is roam the city...this game stinks, even though it is rated as 4th greatest video game of all time. I just need a little help...Gamecube veteran, new to the PS2/GTA series....IK also just got God of war....it is a little challenging...any help with that would also be greatly appreciated.

The first few missions are mandatory, and so you must complete them before you can choose which ones you want to do. (You will have to complete most of them in an area in order to advance to the next area and further the storyline) However, the missions you have been looking up on the Internet are most likely farther in the game. Thus, you actually have to play the other missions before you can "unlock" the other ones. San Andreas actually has a storyline, in case you can't figure that out, and so you can only play the missions that are appropriate to the point you are in the storyline.

As to actually initiating a mission, you will see lots of letters or symbols on your map and radar blip. Usually the symbols denote a store that doesn't have missions, but sometimes there are missions attached(you can tell because if you leave the icon from your radar blip, it will still be showing at the edge if it is a mission). However, all letters denote a mission. So, to initiate the mission find where the mission is by following the icon. Once it is in your radar blip, enter the red "halo" that starts the mission cinematic and then the mission itself. (Note: some missions are time oriented, and if you enter a time oriented one it will tell you at what time to enter it if you came at the wrong time).

As to your being a n00b, and saying the game stinks, I cannot help you for being doltish. If you are too young to enjoy the art that is San Andreas, then don't play an M-rated game! And by the way, half of the fun of San Andreas is the ability to roam the city, so you apparently are too insipid to realize how good of a game this truly is.

And since I know you are going to use cheats, let me warn you. DON'T SAVE IF YOU USED CHEATS. Cheats will screw up your game if you plan on completing it 100%. But I doubt you will ever appreciate any game enough to finish it completely, so you might as well use cheats and lose the character and feeling of self-accomplishment you get by doing it on your own.

I hope that could help, and that over time you will acknowledge GTA's brilliancy. Until then, good luck learning how a video game works!

go to your yahoo search and type in "cheats for San Andres" and choose one of your address listed and you can find ways to do things you didn't even know about. My daughter loves car game and has a couple of the San Andres games and she loves them.
