I have read some of your previous questions and I want you to think about what I am about to say. Your previous questions talked about how your are stereotyped because you are black. But you are stereotyping white women. Not all white women are the same. Yes, some can be stuck up but just because they are doesn't mean that I am. And hey, yes I smile at black people just the same as I smile at everyone else. And I do agree with you about your previous post of some black women do have it harder than white women but not all the time. I bet I have gone through some harder times than you have. Stop being so negative. This is one reason that black Americans are being stereotyped.

wha? So, what, now I have to be self conscious about how I smile at you. Well, **** off. I'll just keep being me and you leave me alone.
===========================================
ADDITION: You know why this is a good answer? I was told to treat black people the same as white people. And if someone grouped me like this. I would tell them to **** off.

However, I do have some experience and education on the matter.

Racial paranoia is more common in some cultures of white people than others. Specifically with those cultures that experience the most racial tension. They are afraid not to smile at you, and are probably anxious about the encounter.

This occurs in other people also when they are repeatedly stared down by certain cultures (whatever culture may it be).

Who wants to look like a racist or insensitive?

Do you?

Sounds like paranoia on the part of some blacks.

Using phrases like "white smile" simply isolates blacks from whites and gets them to notice things that may not be important and ignore the honest attempts by other races to bridge the barriers that exist.

Regretfully racial sterotyping is something that a lot of people do regardless of their racial background. It would make as much sense to ask "why do most blacks give the 'black smile' when they see white people?"

Time to stop seeing the world in just racial dimensions.

If someone is being dishonest instead of concentrating on their race and using racial stereotyping, just describe them as being dishonest. This opens your eyes to the fact that people of all races can be honest and dishonest.

This is new to me, we smile differently at ebony people eh. That's interesting, I didn't know. So smiling is bad then, unless we smiled in a black way? It's different? How the heck can this be. This must be an American thing, I'm really out of touch with this stuff. Man, Canada is just getting better and better all the time, not as many of these confusing rules of behaviour.

Why do Blacks give a white smile when they see a white female.
for the same reason to show that they like what they see. Its a natural expression for most people to show some or all of their front teeth when seeing something that they really like.

That's white "liberals" and Democrats. They do that so that they are SURE that YOU know that they are NOT a racist. That's why they will treat you so "nice," and bend over BACKWARD to make sure that you know how much they just LOVE black people.

It's basically a deep insecurity. They are REALLY worried about what others think of them. It's a mental illness, in fact.

Love, Jack.
