I don't know that anyone has done research to prove or disprove this. However, in theory, this should not happen since they've already started the digestive process when you swallow. Else the body's 98.6 temp would start oxidization.

If you are worried about it, why not just drink your hot tea at another time? For ideal digestion, one should not drink with a meal, or at least keep the extra liquid to a minimum so as to not dilute the hydrocloric acid in the stomach.
