Im 14, and people still calls me a kid. Why do they call me a kid??. Im still developing, but I can get a girl pregnant if i wanted to. I can make my own decisions. The only thing that I can;t do is drive or have a real job. But I can do neighborhood jobs such as mowing lawns, babysitting, etc. WHY??>??

The ability to get a girl pregnant doesn't make you an adult. You are a young man and it is obviously frustrating to be called a kid. But sometimes people don't realize that it bothers young teenagers to be called a kid. My boys are 21 and 23 years old and I still call them and all they're friends kids. To me they are. Not in their maturity but because I'm so much older than them. When people have seen you grow from an infant or toddler to the young man your are today they don't really mean anything by calling you a kid. It is just a figure of speech to them. Just bide your time and one of these days someone that you know will come up to you and say you've turned into a very nice young man. From the sounds of you it won't be long either.

Umm because you are a kid....You can have a child at 14 and you will still be a kid.
You can not legally get a job or drive and you can not support yourself so thats a kid.
When you hit 18 you are then considered an adult...Why do kids always ask such dumb questions

im 16 and pregnant with twins....so in a few months im going to be a mom of 2 and i still consider myself a not a kid but a child or teenager because i am not of the legal age to live by myself or stufff like that. think about if u commited a felony since ur still a kid ur parents would get in trouble but if u were over 18 u would be tried as an adult

It is not that a fourteen year old is incappable of having a 40hr a week job or driving. It is tha society makes arbitrary laws that prevent them from doing so. So you are called a kid because of ageism and older people wanting to feel superior.

because you are a kid. you aren't grown up until you can take care of yourself. if you got a girl pregnant could you take care of your kid? you can make decisions sure but all you have to worry about making decisions on are little things while grown ups have to make huge life changing decisions. you may not want to be called a kid but that's what you are, be happy your still young to goof off and do stupid stuff.

You are a kid. You're a kid until you reach 18 and that's when your and adult. But I understand where your coming from becasue I'm 14 too.

You still a kid and stop trying to rush it to being a adult the bills and other things that a adult have to do will make you wish you still is a kid when you get grownup.
