It depends on what you know about where the person is now. Have you tried Zabasearch.com? I found someone from my past, but it wasn't easy. It took me over a year and I honestly think I just got lucky. Do you have any idea where this person might be? There are services which you can also use to try and locate someone, but it will cost. I used that as well, but it was only helpful up to a point. The person from my past was in the military, so there wasn't any real information out there. Don't give up!!!

You might have to try some of the sites that offer maiden name searches or, God forbid, a death search. Do you know the father's name. Maybe you could search for a phone number for the father and give him a call.

If you know the name and nothing else, you can also do the following:
Write a letter to the person, put it in an envelope with their name on it. Then bring this letter to your next Social Security Agency and tell them to please forward this letter to that person. I found someone like that. It took forever, but it was worth it...Good Luck

private investigators aren't that expensive for a basic search, 2 years ago i found my ex wifes birth mother for a mere 175.00, it took 2 days to do, call around for prices (quotes),, just like shopping for insurance lol
