My girlfriend who I loved dearly, and still do left me about a month ago. She has been seeing someone else but she still calls me all the time. The other day her current boyfriend found out that she and I were still talking (although still not together). I told her that I loved her but that I would stay out of her life if i was causing her problems. She said no and that if he had a problem with she and I talking he would be out the door. Why would she care so much about talking to me? If she is so willing to drop him rather than stop talking to me why doesnt she just do it and the two of us reconcile?

A better question to ask is why are you allowing this woman - who you love so dearly - to use you?? Because she IS using you. Keeping you attached by a shoestring just in case things don't work out with the new boyfriend. I'm sorry for your pain, but open your eyes and see what's really happening here. And then go out and find someone who will respect and cherish the love you have to share.

oh my gosh i am in the same situation but i am the girl in my case and the reason i still talk to my ex is because i have a little feelings for him but most of all i am doing it to test my current boyfriend....example my current should have enough trust in me to know that i will not go back with my ex however if he does have a problem then it means that he (current boyfriend) doesn't trust me and what's a relationship without trust

She probably still wants the "security" of you but says she doesn't want to be with you anymore. If you want her back your best chance is to tell her that you still love her but you can't just be her friend. Ask her to quit calling you so you can get on with your life. She will either leave you alone or she will realize she needs and wants you.

Why did she leave you? Maybe deep down, she still loves you, but is confused. Maybe she's just not sure about how serious she wants to be with you. Maybe she's scared. If you enjoy talking to her, then do that, but if you're miserable, then maybe it's time to tell her you can't do this anymore. Good luck and follow your heart!

MY SISTER IS DOING THE SAME THING TO THESE TOO GUYS, AND WITH HER I THINK ITS BECAUSE SHE NOT READY TO FEEL HOW SHE FEELS ABOUT THE MAN SHE REALLY LOVES, AND THAT SCARES THE CRAP OUT HER, AND I ALSO THINK THAT IF THE GUY SHE LOVES GREW SOME NUT (PARDON THE EXPRESSION) HE WOULD SHOW HER EXACTLY HOW HER LIFE WOULD BE WITHOUT HIM, AND LEAVE HER ALONE THEN ALLOWING HIMSELF TO BE STRUNG ALONG.
