The men are worse than women in gossip,and i'm amazed and this is a new concept to me,will i be out of order,if i apologise to u ladies out there and to u men what do u think?

I work in a place that is 80% men, let me tell you there are a few that gossip more then the women at my grandmother's bingo group. I to thought that it was women that are gossip happy, but let me tell you men can be as bad, if not worse

I think men gossip more than women do, but it is something that has increased a lot over the last 50 years.
At one time, relationships and other interactions weren't as important for men as they were for women, so men had no need to gossip. But today, especially since men have more difficulty with relationship skills, they gossip incessantly as they try to work through how to deal with a society that is increasingly constantly in touch and requiring top-notch relationship skills and all the nuances that were once only required of women.

Actually both sexes gossip the same. There's just this macho thing we go through when someone refers to our discussions as "gossip," because it has womanly connotations. We gossip, we just don't call it that.

of course they gossip. go into a bar... or even a restraunt early in the morning or in a barber shop.... you will see men gossiping all the time. so yes, it isn't just women that gossip.. us women just get all the blame for it lol

Oh, yes, you are right, and men are meaner with it, too. They like to brag about their" conquests", and make themselves sound better than they really were. They love to tell about the rotten thing they did to dump some woman. And do not care how it might hurt their victim.
They do the same thing about their work, and play nasty power struggle tricks on their coworkers, and brag about it.
Sports too. They are all the quarterback who threw the winning touchdown[or caught it in the in zone].
Women do not usually over inflate a situation, they just like talking about someone else's misfortune.

I believe you are right men are worse even on the phone. I hate picking it up because it's always a guy for him.
I believe Teenagers and Men are worse than the average woman.

women gossip by which they hear something and have to call up or tell all their friends right away. guys just talk about a particular subject and let it go, women go on and on about it.
