What song describes your moodiest blues, your lowest lows, your suckiest suckfests, your bad 'n' moodies? When you're sad, when your mad, when your mood is really bad? Ok, now I've gone totally Dr. Seuss, but you get the picture. We've covered all of the happy songs, now I wanna know about the unhappy songs.
My personal blue soundtrack is pretty much anything in the Trent Reznor/Nine Inch Nails spectrum. Particularly the Johnny Cash version of "Hurt" and "Something I can Never Have". I also like "Nothing Else Matters" by Metallica.

Wow, you hit on two great ones. The Nine Inch Nails version of Hurt was great, but the Johnny Cash version is also really incredible because although his version is completely different, you could really believe that he was the kind of person who really fit that song. Nothing Else Matters is also great.
Some other good ones for that kind of mood are "Fell on Black Days" by Soundgarden (from Superunknown), "Creep" by Radiohead, "Creep" by Stone Temple Pilots, and almost anything by Nirvana is pretty good for that kind of mood. I think the 90s were really the low self-esteem, feeling sorry for yourself kind of decade in terms of music, which is really great when you're in that kind of mood.
