I've decided that I quit life. I'm sick of being surrounded by people who don't seem to really care and I'm sick of trying to fit into society. I'm sick of society's lies and I'm sick of trying to understand people. Why can't I just be who I am? I don't want to be like everyone else, but I know I can't really be different. I feel dead inside, like life isn't worth living. What happens now?

I feel your sentiments. I have to smile a little bit because I know exactly how you feel. Know someone else shares your pain.
Unlike the people who I'm surrounded by who are outgoing, fun and joyful, it doesn't seem genuine even though it probably is. So with that thought, it's not easy to find comfort in their joy. I find comfort in analyzing, grieving and protecting my heart. Kinda like the Selma Blair vibe. She's got a flat facial expression but you know there's more to it than just being sad. One thing about positive people that bugs me the most is how they say they're so happy and they are the first ones to pass a judgement or make a rude remark. To me, our sadness isn't as dark as it might sound, it's merely verbalizing emotion that isn't of the happy nature. I am learning to accept my personality for what it is, hopefully you will too with yours. And maybe in time it is a way of thinking that we outgrow and overcome.

Your not the first person to feel that way,you wont be the last. But eventually you will get stronger inside and decide to be who you are .once you become who your happy being you will see people accept you. You might encourage others to be "free" also. As long as your not wanting to be something that is harmful to others I believe you can find a "place" to fit in. If your that stressed out and your not under age email me when you need to get feed back from someone who cares about people.Sorry I stay clear of personal contact with minors I dont know,This way I cant be blamed for anything wrong being said.

you need some anti depressents or xanax.

you should see a therapist, who will then recommend you to a psychiatrist who will give you some meds to try. There's no shame in it.

You know what, life does suck, but you need to make the best of it. I recently met an 84 year old man who lives in Chalmette, LA. He lost his wife a few years ago to cancer. Then, last year he evacuated for Hurricane Katrina. It was a good thing, because Katrina destroyed every home, vehicle, boat, business, in Chalmette, leaving 70,000 people homeless, including myself. My wife and I rented and lost all of our belongings including our wedding gifts. We had renters insurance, but no flood insurance since we didn't know renters could get flood ins at the time. We got nothing for renters ins since we got nine feet of water. We now live in a F.E.M.A trailer, since demand has caused rent to skyrocket in surrounding cities. We're making the best of it. Look at a map, we're east of new orleans. By the way, don't believe the Spike Lee movie which blames racism. 80% of the 70,000 people in Chalmette were white, along with 30% of new orleans residents. Katrina did not discriminate. That 84 year old man has still not been able to find his sister, and two nephews that stayed with her. They are presumed dead. At least we have our health. Think of all the millions the people who die of starvation or genocide every year like in Sudan. Your life, I'm sure is not nearly as bad as most other peoples. So stop bitchin', get off your ***, and get a hobby. If you can't will yourself to, then seek professional help.

Screw other people. Live your life for yourself. You don't need to fit in, that doesn't make anyone happy. Just be glad to be yourself and not like all those other clones out there. If you really hate other people so much, stick around and make sure they all know it. Don't let them have the satisfaction of winning.
