Treachery and betrayal are unforgivable. Insults and put down can be forgiven.

I will infer that when you say "deeds" and "unforgivable" you're not asking within a Biblical context.

For me being betrayed by my husband/partner would be very difficult to forgive...the second time. If it occurs the first time, it's a freebie, but if it happens again everything is out the front door. Period. Eventually I will be forgiving, but I will never forget and will remember to not allow the scenario to repeat a third time.

The most solid foundation that anyone can lay for a strong relationship is trust. When trust is breached, too much damage has been done to fully acquire the same level of trust prior to the betrayal and the relationship is doomed.

Best Wishes!

PS: Rose P, I am so sorry to hear you were forced to suffer at the hands of your partners family. THAT is cruel and EVIL. If I were ever confronted with that kind of situation, I don't think "forgiving" would even be in my vocabulary. ::HUGS::

I think unforgivable deeds should be stuff like: child molestation, rape, taking advantage of someone unable to think or fend for themselves, using the lords name to spread the message of hate

Regular dees that could be considered day to day difficult life stuff would be stuff like: white lies, cheating on a test, lie to a police officer to get out of a ticket (LOL), be mean to someone

According to the bible the only deed that is unforgiveable is blasphemy against the holy spirit-not acknowledgeing that he is God is Jesus Christ. All else can be forgiven. Its man who tends to be hardhearted and thinks himself greater than God for is judgemental and has great difficulty forgiving. The way I see it if you expect God to forgive all the despicable things we do then forgive.

I do hope that I can forgive my late partners family.
When Gwen and I moved in together after 3 years, Her Family turned horridly cruel and rude. Gwen, bless her, was serene and confident in the face of their non acceptance.
After years at work we were told to take long leave but could not take it together. Gwen said to take mine first as she was "feeling tired" We planned the trip and I had a wonderful time. Returning home I learned that she had died from a virulent cancer. Her family had claimed her remains, burying them in their "church's" private plot. On visiting the grave I found the stone bore only her date of birth and UNKNOWN TO GOD. after 6 months I had a complete breakdown. Thanks to my brother I am alive and recovering. I can only hope that their cruelty was thoughtless and not deliberate or I will never find peace.

When someone deliberately hurts someone, that's rotten. The more it hurts, the rottener it is.

Is it unforgivable? check your heart. Everyone makes mistakes. But if they do it over and over, that's a pattern.

As far as I'm concerned, lying, betraying the one you love, as in cheating, are unforgivable. ALso, leading the one you love, on. Hopefully what goes around REALLY DOES come around!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any sin is forgivable to the one who repents. The most serious sin is to deliberately take advantage of the innocent, ignorant or powerless to enrich yourself. The second most serious is to deliberately ignore an evil you have the power to stop because it would inconvenience you.
