Be on the A team. It will be a good experience not being the best on the team. You also will become a better player by being worked harder and by playing against tougher opponents. I am a freshman and I am in a similar situation. I have chosen to play for the JV team rather than the Freshman team because I want to become a better player. I know you want to be on the same team as your friends but you will get to see them outside of basketball.

Ok, for one just take a moment & focus on the team goals then yours. Coaches are human too. Respect is earned, not given. Sometimes you really have to dig down deep in yourself before you can judge your coaches decision(s).

Ok - it is not what you want. It is what the team needs. You are not the team.... is it _____________ team ( insert your name there... or is it example name : The Scarlett Spartans. That is were you have to start. It takes a team to win, not an individual.

As far as working hard.... ask yourself 1) did I do the off season fundimentals, 2) am I conditioned to where I can run 5 miles or better. & 3) am I a TEAM player. If you can honestly answer these, in the mirror, this is a great start. It is not about you / me / I... it is about TEAM. What can I do for the TEAM. Can I learn all positions!? Can I be the best cheerleader for all of the TEAM!? Can I change my attitude to become a better TEAM PLAYER?!

Do you have all of the skills it takes, great screens, dribbling with both hands, communication, dedication, great attitude & TEAM comes first. These are just a few of the basics. ( Because should have, would have, could have...what if... are weak excuses )

Go A. There's no guarantee you wont have fun on the A team. You may think you wont if you're away from your friends, but its not always true. Challenge yourself to be as good as you can be. The A team gives you that best chance.

If you want to keep playing in college, then the A team will get more attention from scouts. But if you play for the B team, not only will they get better, but so will you. Playing with people under your skill level will elevate yours, and bring theirs with you.

play where you'll have the most fun! Unless you plan on continuing on in college (for getting a scholarship) then-have fun.
more kids should play for the enjoyment of it and not because its expected of them! So unless you wanna be a pro someday--i say GO TEAM B G0!!!

play where you will have fun, but forget about being with your friends, tihs is where you pull apart from your friends because it is about your individual talent
