Do any of you know how to proof read?

I have noticed that most people that ask or answer questions cannot spell and or their grammer is horrible. Why does this annoy me so much?

I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU MEAN!!!!! the way people talk on here annoys me so much too.... i hate it when they put dis or wut or iz... i mean come on is it that hard to put this, what, or is... i dont think they understand that they are just making themselves sound dumb????

I proof read or edit stories all the time. Judging by your additional comment, poor writing irritates you because you make a strong effort to write well. It annoys me too, but I realize not everyone has the same desire to overcome writing foibles.

Many posters here and on other message boards usually type their messages to match their spoken skills--which it seems lack polish in itself. All you and I can do is to set the example and exhibit our posts as best as they can be.

Maybe you have a thing about bad grammar. A lot of people have things that annoy them. Maybe bad grammar disturbs you.
