People are attracted to attractive people. They can sell a product and sell themselves because people are more apt to buy into theme. It's not just girls ...it's everyone.

your opportunities in life doesnt depend on how fun or ugly are you. The way i see is that we all have the same opportunities to do whatever we want in life cause life is not about how good or ugly you look. The people that are refered to as being ugly do succed more in life than a person who is handsome cause those people have more to worry about in life than worryin about wish gurl i am taking out today cause those with good looks spend most of the time trying to be players cuz they know they can get all the females that they want .

All physical beauty will eventually fade.
The smart, handsome man exploits his looks while he can, until he wakes up one day older and finds he's not as handsome.
The stupid handsome man just wakes up one day older and not as handsome.
By contrast, the ugly man probably isn't going to get much uglier as he ages, so he usually learns to exploit more lasting things earlier in life, such as intelligence, charm, charisma, ambition, etc. These are things that will only become stronger as one gets older, so the sooner one begins developing them, the better one will make out.
Looks mean little in attracting women. (Who remembers Lyle Lovett & Julia Roberts?) Sure there are shallow women, just as there are shallow men, but survey after survery indicates there are more important things to women than male physical beauty - confidence and wealth to name a couple.
There are ugly actors (Billy Bob Thorton ain't no Adonis), plenty of super successful ugly performers (ie. the band Kiss), and I'd say the wealthiest guy on the planet wouldn't win a beauty contest.
All in all, the average handsom guy probably has very little advantage over the average ugly guy. There are more important attributes for achieving success and prosperity.

I'm handsomely ugly! I also have a brain that has allowed me to retire early. I've traveled all over the world and could care less about what women think about me. That is the opportunity I have. I've learned that the women that want you for your looks are shallow and not worth my time. but when they find out you have money they change there minds and find me more handsome! Then I have the opportunity to tell them to kiss my butt!

If I was hiring people for a job (and that job involved dealing with people-- like sales) and two guys came in with the same exact qualifications but one was handsome and the other not....I'd pick the handsome one because it's good for business.
Sad but true for most jobs (except the arts where creativity rules)
Of course if the handsome one had an attitude problem and was full of himself then the other guy gets the job.
On a similar but unrelated note...taller guys have the same advantage as handsome guys.

I saw a special on this awhile back, where an attractive guy put on a fat suit and interacted with people at a mall, and then went back later without the suit to see the differences.
When he wore the fat suit, he tried to talk to other shoppers, but they all avoided him. He tried to apply for a job at a hardware store, and the employees just lazily acted like they were looking for an application, then told him they had run out. Then he went to a bar and tried to order a drink for a cute girl. She refused the drink, and you could hear the snickering from all over the bar.
When he went back later without the suit, everyone he tried to talk to would come over and have nice, long conversations with him. Some even wanted to introduce him to their daughters! LOL The same hardware store found an application for him right away, and he wound up leaving the mall with the same cute girl he had encountered earlier!

Quite a number of those 'handsome guys' are only a nice package and not such nice people. And some of the plainer types and super men! One might be attracted to a fancy bow but it's what's in the present one must actually live with.

Let's face it. It's human nature to like people who are good looking. It shouldn't be what liking a person is all about, but often it is. Handsome guys get more ladies, end of story. But it doesn't mean they get the ones that actually love them for who they are, or even slighty respect them. It's a sad society, I'll tell you that much.

Perhaps if the "less better looking" one apply for a job as a salesman, the boss might choose the "handsome" one because he needs someone who will make a "good appearance" to the customes. Besides that, they all have a fair chance in life.

I stay away form the pretty boys!! They are more times than not..jerks!! my fiance..and father of my first born...had rotten front teeth when i met him..and he had a speech impediment...and wasnt what youd call "handsome" lol But I knew i liked him for HIM..no his looks the day i first talked to him! Personality is WAYYY more importnant than looks. If you're feeling like you dont have a chance..you're wrong...there are plenty girls who would prefer a good personality out there...shell find you!

What I believe is, men and women were born equal in the eyes of God. If ever, there are people practicing discrimination, well, Its their stupid opinion and views. Remember, that we can only distuinguished handsome/pretty people because of the ugly ones.
