Yeah, we want to know how people would react to your question. It's like making an opinionated conjecture. A conjecture that's amassed with all kinds of knowledge. Not only that, they also want to expand their knowledge. It's like fishing out more answers. Asking questions is the key to your mind. Some people give real insightful answers, some of them actually open the eyes of a blind person. :)

i believe that is true. when you ask a question most generally you have your own answer already and are looking for a different one for various reason. maybe because you know it is wrong or that you know it right and want some one to tell you that it's o.k. i know what i just wrote is confusing but i think everyone knows what i mean!!!

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But sometimes I think we'd rather have someone backing up what we are already thinking-we want to hear that we're right. Lots of people seem to choose best answers and leave a comment that says, "That's just like me!"

P.S. Sometimes we ask/hear something we don't like, and that spurs us on to do what we wanted to do/say/whatever in the first place.

I think that is sometimes true, and I also think that we already know the answer and have made up our minds but are looking to find validation for our decision.
