Sure. It is always great to be the "back seat driver" and "Monday morning quarterback." Pelosi would wither in the Presidency. Much easier to criticize rather than present soluitons to problems or constructive ideas for improvement.

The Dems are working on the notion that Americans are attracted to Republicans in time of crisis and homeland security. If you recall this partisan rambling was prevalent during the last Presidential Election. So the Democrats are moving towards the November elections and the 2008 Presidential Election. By using scare tactics they hope to win swaying votes in their favor. The Dems believe they win points everytime violence erupts in Iraq-like violence in that country is something new. It is nothing to worry about it is just the nature of politics. Everyone just needs to see past the rhetoric, continue having discussions with everyday citizens, and constantly educate yourself.

Just because you recognize that a problem exists doesn't mean you think the particular solutions being proposed will actually help.
Unfortunately, the reality of the way partisan politics works is that the dominant party gets to control the agenda. They get to decide what bills come out of committee, and what bills get voted on. So, as long as one party is in control of Congress, the only thing their opponents can do is speak out.
