You can have whatever nickname you want...that's why it called a nickname: A descriptive name added to or replacing the actual name of a person, place, or thing.
Pick something you like - Calli, perhaps - and when you're introduced to someone as Chelsea Smith [for instance] you can smile and say, "...but my friends call me Calli."
