If you're having a c-section in 10 days, you shouldn't break your water at all, or there could be an infection and you could hurt the baby.
Unless of course you're wanting to go into labor or maybe have an emergency c-section done before your nice, scheduled one.
When you go in for your cesarean, the doctor will numb you up and get the little curtain around you so you can't see, make the inscisions through your skin, stomach muscles, and uterus, and then he will break the bag of waters and remove the baby.
If you break the water before then, the baby must be born within 24 hours or the risk of infection increases my a lot, since the baby is no longer protected completely from the outside world.
There is probably a medical reason that your doctor reccomended a cesarean for, and unless you are craving attention and drama, and care more for that than the baby, don't try anything like that at all.

I'm confused. Why do you want to break your water if you are scheduled for a c-section in 10 days. Do you want to go into labor before the section?

Your amniotic sac is the thing that keeps the baby in a sterile environment. If it's broken your chance of infection soars if the baby is not delivered withing 12 hours. Don't try to break your water. If you're trying to start labor, a safe way to attempt that is to have sex. The prostaglandins in semen sometimes can stimulate contractions if a woman is ready.

Thats no longer trouble-free thinking you somewhat made it to the medical expert and you have been 6 cm previously. yet then my mom went in the process the same element. She became into only in exertions for a finished of three hours with my older sister and thats with the 40 5 minutecontinual to the wellness facility. Then she had me, she became into in exertions with me for 17 hours. If the medical expert is making an attempt to grant you a c-section if your in exertions for "too long" and no different reason, you dont might desire to. you may say no. If I have been you, given including your previous being pregnant and how rapid it became into, and the medical expert is in touch approximately it (he knows greater then all of us do of direction) and you have confidence his judgement, then I say choose for him breaking your water. That way you're in the wellness facility already and dont ahve to rigidity approximately making it on time. additionally in case you do experience contractions this time, then there is somewhat no longer something you're able to do appropriate to the discomfort, you may the two take the discomfort or take the epidural. EDIT: Whoever reported get the drip, I in basic terms % to tell you to attempt to evade that for the period of any respect expenses. I have been given the pitocin drip and it made my exertions enhanced and greater sturdy. in basic terms enable him break your water first and if no longer something is occurring then ask for the drip.

yeah, uh let the doctors do it, duh, if u break ur water u have to go to the hospital right away because the baby is no longer protected from infection once the water is broken. u dont need to worry about that they'll do it when u get ur c section.

Why would you want to? That will happen during the c-section. Congrats on the baby!

The doctor will do that for you. It looks like a crochet hook, but it's painless.

If it doesn't break on it's own, the nurse will do it. It doesn't hurt AT ALL.
