The only really effective way to whiten your teeth is to have the dentist do it. Home remedies just don't work well. The dentist will charge anywhere from nothing (I've seem whitening included free with a new patient's cleaning, exam, and xrays) to about $1500 for laser whitening. How effective it is varies from person to person. Also keep in mind that teeth whitening is not permanent. If your teeth are naturally yellow, the yellow will come back.

My husband had very yellowed/stained teeth. He used Crest White Strips and the change was amazing. He had the kind that you used for two weeks (3 or 4 years ago) and you could see a change in a couple of days. By the end of the period, they were actually white. I was truly amazed. They cost about $30 I think.

the crest whitestrips really work good...like at least 5 shades whiter in a week or two...about 20 or 30 bucks...but they do make some people's teeth extremely sensitive for about a week!

with whitening strips, you keep them on for 30 minutes 2 times a day. They work like miricles.
