Jesus saved us from a lot more than hell. He saved us from religion, sin, and condemnation. He also saved us from ourselves.
The difference in Christianity and the other Faiths is salvation. From what little I understand the Muslim faith says that their own Prophet taught that he did not know if his good would outweigh his bad. Islam, again according to what I know, only guarantees salvation if you martyr yourself. You do get to have so many virgins and take 72 Muslims with you. You see if you can talk your daughter into killing herself, and others , you can live like hell, with 72 free get out of hell passes. Now I am not mocking the Islamic Faith just telling it like I hear it is. If it is different please tell us.

One day I got on the wrong bus three times. First time it turned off and I knew it would go to the next subway, and I rode the subway back to the terminal, ran got on the bus, and again the wrong bus but too late.
At the third try I realized the bus was in the wrong lane to go straight to where I needed so I got up, asked the driver and the driver said- Lady this is the third time you've got on my bus. So I said, give me a transfer and I'll get off your bus.
Which I did, So maybe I'm a bit stupid sometimes, and maybe it's funny but boy I believe in getting saved..cause when you're tired and stressed it's nice to get home.So yes we all need the saviour. Otherwise we live in the Hell of our own stupid mistakes.

No. If that were the case then every other religious group would what...go to hell for not believing like the Christians do?
Isn't logical.
Personally, I don't believe in either heaven or hell.

If you don't trust and believe in what the Lord Jesus Christ did for for you on the cross then you send yourself to hell. He made away by dying on the cross for your sins. He rose again the third day for your justification. Don't blame God because what you do. John 3: 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

No you will not go to hell. Hell is a figment of imagination, used primarily to convert new members to certain christian churches.
Thes members eventually end up paying for membership, usually a tithe or 10% of what they earn in the guise of sacrifice to God. Very few really care about the actual members once they are sufficiently "brain washed".

Why do we have to be saved...someone recently posed the question to me...if there is a god wouldnt he want you to be a good moral person...why would he punish you for not attending church and being saved if he was a just god?

Jesus wasn't saved nor was he a Christian...Remember he was living as an example to us as to how we should be in order to go to heaven

i don't believe i have to be saved from anything, so i don't worry about someone's false notion of being saved. if i go to a place of punishment, it will be because I deserve it b/c of my own actions.

I don't believe in hell. I think God or Allah or whoever is capable of "saving" all of us.
