My husband has an e-mail account through Yahoo and wants to start a seperate one for his writing information that he signs up for. But when I go to the Yahoo homepage and click on the sign up button for e-mail, my Yahoo DSL login comes up and makes me sign in. I would like to know if there is some way to avoid this.

Go to the Yahoo hompage:
http://www.yahoo.com/
sign out of Yahoo, then you will be taken back to the Yahoo homepage, but you will not be signed-in. Look for "Free E mail, Sign-up" and create a new account.

With your browser open, click tools>>internet options>>content tab>>autocomplete and uncheck the box that says "user names and passwords in forms" Then click OK, and then Apply. That should turn of the AutoComplete--the program that automatically fills in your user ID. Then you should be able to create a new account. If that doesn't work, try going through another browser, like Mozilla Firefox.

Clear the cookies and temporary internet files. Re-start the browser and sign up for a new id.

I have found more information at http://tinyurl.com/nnv9f on how email works and how to troubleshoot email related problems.

Simply sign out and register the new account under different user name. That should set up the new email account.
