Sounds to me like he doesn't want to associate with you. Maybe he thinks you are bad for his image. I am not insulting you, but to me that's what it sounds like. That would be one of the reasons a guy would all of a sudden claim he doesn't know you. Sorry. Either that or he is just plain clueless.

Apparently he has not and was not INTO YOU! If you are interested in him you need to change up your appearance a bit to more interesting and make him notice and if that fails move on.
Might be you just had this wild idea that both of you had been talking to one another and it probably never happened. Sometimes dreams are wild!

Have you been talking continuously, or did you guys not talk for a couple years? You can't expect him to remember you if it's been a while.

Where is the problem. Maybe he doesn't want to know you anymore anyway. If you like him so much talk to him everyday

Were you friends or did you just know who he was? If he was your friend he should remember you, but if he didn't know you that well he has an excuse.

maybe he's just ignoring you maybe because you did something that he didnt like. or are you his ex gf?
if you are maybe thats the reason.
or he might have forgotten you because you two don't hang out more often

wow this kid must have smoked way too much crack. unless you go a sex change I don't see how someone could forget a person they have know for four years.

Is he faking that he doesn't know you because he doesn't want to know you any more closely? Could he have mental problems, or be on drugs?
