California. It's the most dynamic State: Geographically, Economically, Culturally and it is where the most innovation happens. I don't think it's perfect at all, but if you have to pick one.
My biggest beef compared to the rest of the USA, is that the people can be bland compared to major cities or places of historical significance.

I suppose you mean American union; and that would be Texas. It's the most diverse state in both people and geography. It's the most accepting as far as different types of people of the states and "it's the only place in the US where drinking beer and kicking butt is still accepted."

North Carolina is nice. It is growing fast, and you can find a job there if you want to actually work. Virginia(my state) is also nice. I love Tennessee and South Carolina. The people in South Carolina are so friendly. Probably because they are happy to live there, and THEY HAVE MYRTLE BEACH!!!!! A place I love!!!!

That is a really good question. Sorry I can't answer it. I live in California and it's really not the best place to be at the time.

That's going to depend on what is important to you ...the individual states , just like individual people, have plusses and minuses.
Alaska for ex. magnificent to view, huge and wild ...also can be pretty isolating , have very little light in peak winter..and can get Damn cold..
You need to be specific about what is important to "you"...

State of peace and harmony, with a little quiet thrown in. When you find it, give me a call, I'd like to move there too.
