alton brown. He combines science, cooking, history and entertainment into one great show, Good Eats!

I heartily agree with the Alton Brown fans I've watched him since the beginning when they'd stick his show in at odd times.

Giada makes simple food and I like her easy relaxed style.

And good old Sara still fighting a good fight, they've cut her show down to 30 min a day. But she a real Chef.

ON THE OTHER HAND

Emeril is entertainment, the guy doesn't know how to cook.

Rachael Ray has to be the most annoying person alive. She uses the most expensive ingredients to make "simple" meals. You could go out to eat for the money you'll spend. I wish she would just shut up.

Bobby Flay can cook any dish the world, IF it's on a grill and has Pablano peppers in it. And, what an attitude.

I love rich food, but even so, the stuff Paula Dean turns out makes me want to gag. Do Southerners really eat like this, and if so do they live past 50? Do her sons seem a little light in the loafers, if you get my drift.

Ah Mario, I used to like him. But after a while you kind of realize, you've learned all of his tricks. It's just repetition. Time to go.

So drop these and the rest in the ocean.

We will just have Alton, Giada and Sara. That will leave plenty of time to find new people who can actually cook, as well as entertain. Remember when they used to have guest chefs come on. Some would be bad, but others would be great.

I like Sandra Lee because she's an alchoholic. Alton Brown is cool because he's nerdy. Paula Deen is awesome because the woman would eat a stick of butter if it was all you put in front of her. Mario Batali looks like he literally ate Italy. Emeril is a squinty eyed freak. Rachel Ray never cooks anything that is either quick or simple, it make take 30 minutes to prepare but it takes 2 hours to shop for the ingredients. Bobby Flay is a pansy. Giada shoulda spent more time eating than sitting in a dr's office getting her boobs done. Tyler Florence is just HOT! The barefoot contessa is pretentious. And well the rest of them are just nondescript and don't deserve mention.

Toss-up between Mario Battali and Bobby Flay. They always make great stuff, and they're entertaining without being annoying.

Alton Brown also gets a shout-out for being the best food educator (he's not really a chef, is he?)

Tyler Florence on Food 911 is one of the best. His show deals with typical dishes that people make and often screw up. He gives simple hints on how to prepare these dishes. Well. Alton Brown is good also because he explains the chemistry involved in a particular food in each show.

Good Eats and Alton Brown. Doesn't matter what he's cooking, he's still entertaining and educational at the same time. Heard he's going to have a new show on this fall, too, with him going on the road. Hope they're keeping Good Eats on, too.
