I have just watched the 40th anniversary of the battle of long tan ceremony. Why do the speakers always thank God.
When ever there is human suffering and injustice,why thank God.Thank him for what.

Thank him that we're still alive? Thank him for dangling us over the inferno a little longer instead of smiting us then? Beats me.

The speakers are thanking God that there were survivors, that the battle is over, and that the human suffering and injustice has ended. You weren't listening closely enough.

Read your Bible. I am sincere and not saying this rudely. The Bible can shed light on many aspects of your life and the lives around you that are apparently still in darkness.

the speakers are thanking god cause he is alive to be able to thank god!! you dont have to thank god if you dont want to in your daily life, but it looks like you will start blaming him when things go wrong for you... typical...
