Because guinea pigs cannot use their front feet to “hold” toys, almost all guinea pig toys are chew toys. And, as a guinea pig’s front teeth continually grow throughout its life, they require plenty of toys for chewing. Guinea pigs usually prefer harder pieces of wood, but you may need to experiment to find out what your pet prefers. Colorful wood parrot chew toys are ideal.
Some guinea pigs like to play with colorful plastic balls designed for cats. They will push these around and may even carry them in their teeth. If you offer one of these plastic balls, watch your pet carefully. If he starts to chew on the ball or break pieces off of it, you will need to remove it.
Because guinea pigs are nervous by nature, tubes and hideaways provide comfortable, safe places to hide or sleep. If made of cardboard or wood, they also provide a safe outlet for chewing.
You will find wheels and running balls made for guinea pigs. If you buy one of these, make sure that it is big enough for an “adult” guinea pig to fit inside.

Even if your not looking for bedding answers, make sure you know that both pine and cedar are toxic. Use either carefresh, cell sorb, or aspen beddings.
They need stuff to knaw on, alot of people use fruit wood like apple wood sticks.
They also need hidey houses, petstores should have guinea pig sized hidey houses that look pretty cool like super pet igloos, i myself just use cardboard boxes with a hole cut in them, that way the guinea pigs are kept busy with chewing and it releives boredom and its cheap to replace. Thats about it, guinea pigs dont really play with things like rabbits do. Rabbits like to toss things around like there are rabbit specific rattles that you could try but i dont foresee them doing anything other then chewing.

The easiest thing to do is get a kit that includes a cage. You could also ask when you buy the guinea pig...

First of all, don't get them a running wheel or running ball, as these toys are very bad for guinea pigs' backs.
You should get them a pigloo (house) and some wooden chews to keep their teeth trimmed.
You could also get them something to jump up on. They'll have fun jumping up and down.

you should have two cages cause you don't want the female to have babies after babies with no rest
what you should have with a guinea pig cage is a water bottle, food dish, stick, and a treat inside their cage once in a while and somethings they can hide in and go in and out they don't like wheels or outside balls so you got to hold them and that them play freely
like if you are outside take them out with you and let them run free but watch them

my son has two guinea pigs as well. they seem to like this tube with bedding in it. Looks like cotton or something. But the tubes are the best bet to get them. also I give them them vegetables like carrots, celery, lettuce. They especially like the celery. They also have a wheel that you can fill it up with alfalfa. just go to a pet store, and you can find a whole bunch of treats.

Go to your local pet store and pick up an exercise wheel and a "hidey hole", it looks like a barrel with a hole cut in the side. Guinea pigs love stuff like that. They also like tubes.

The only thing my pigs like is something to hide in and an occasional toss of a plastic cat ball with a bell in it. Some times they like to sing and dance.
